MHLA Golf Outing results in $7,500 Scholarship Donation

In holding with tradition, members and friends came together for MHLA's Annual Golf Outing on October 6, 2021 at Whiskey Creek. We saw tremendous support with golf selling out and sponsorship at its highest level, including Ecolab as our Title Sponsor for the 7th year in a row and Live! Casino & Hotel as our Presenting Sponsor.  We even had a golfer score a hole in one on Hole #3.  Congratulations to Craig Derrick from Normandy Carpet!!

The success of the MHLA Golf Outing enables us to give back to the industry.  We are proud to announce a $7,500 donation to be given this year to the Maryland Tourism Education Foundation in support of hospitality scholarships. With this donation, a total of $27,000 in MHLA golf proceeds has been donated for scholarships in the past five years. Canisha Pope joined the event as a 2021 scholarship recipient, and we look forward to helping Canisha and others to further their career in hospitality.
