The hotel industry offers more than 200 pathways toward a rewarding career. More than 50% of hotel GMs got their start in an entry-level position and 80% of entry-level workers are eligible for a promotion in less than 1 year.

Registered apprenticeship is a training program that combines on the job learning with classroom education for in demand occupations.  Hotels may consider offering three different hospitality sector registered apprenticeship tracks: Lodging Management, Hotel Cook and Maintenance.
