MHLA Members:
On Tuesday, October 10, 2017 the Montgomery County Council unanimously passed legislation to license and regulate short-term rentals (STRs) like Airbnb and VRBO. This is a great win for MHLA and the lodging industry in Maryland. The bill places the following restrictions on STRs:

This is a fun industry event but more importantly we are supporting our industry through scholarships that benefit employees at MHLA member properties. We are proud to announce this year’s donation totaling $7,500 to the Maryland Tourism Education Foundation (MTEF), which puts us at a total of $15,000 in scholarship contributions over the last three years. The support we’ve seen from sponsors for this event has been tremendous. We appreciate the contributions of all who sponsored and/or donated items, which in turn made this scholarship donation possible.
