SB760, p. 3 lines 19-20 “Security guard services” includes any activity that is performed for compensation as a security guard to protect any individual or property Effective January 1, 2025, Security Guard applicants are required to complete a minimum of twelve (12) hours basic training for Security Guards. All training content must be approved by the Certification Unit of the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions prior to being conducted.
